The returns for his public online portfolio beat all the major indices by more than 200 percentage points in the good times for 1997 - 2007. And in bad times, such as the bear market of 2007 - 2008, the portfolio has lost money one-third as much as the major indices.

The person who started this website kept track of the companies that went out of business or filed bankruptcy in the sub-prime mortgage industry. He referred to the list as the lender implode-o-meter. In the first five months of 2007, more than 80 lenders had shut down or gone out of business. In Spring of 2008, the list topped 250.
